He might have upset Williams with his petulence at times this season, but given the injury and suspension problems the O's had against Southend on Monday, surely he should have been in the starting 11.

Couldn't agree more. Quite how that clown Melligan could get picked above him is a mystery!
Williams' substitutions are always reactive rather than creative - never seems tomake them until things go wrong.
January is a crucial month. Two strikers are a must if this side is to avoid relegation. With Poyet at Brighton working on a budget of £4m though, what chance have the O's really got ?
The only possible way out is to get the higher earners off the wage roll - Scowcroft (please!!!!) and possibly Tam are therefore likely to go before the window closes I would have thought.

I agree Jabster. How can JJ get in ahead of Demetriou.
There have been some real dogey substitutions too.
The sad truth is that half the bench is not really good enough.
The first 14 or 15 are okay, after that it's pure relegation fodder.
Reminds me of some of the players in Sitton and Turner's squad when they were relegated from this division
