Has anyone else noticed that Spurs seem to play worse when Crouch gets picked to start? Tottenham won their first four games and the big talking point was that Crouch couldn't get a start. Now he's regularly in the team but the performances seem to have dipped. He's obviously a great asset to have, but maybe Harry was right in the first month - Spurs are better when they're trying to play through Keane and Defoe. Crouch just encourages long balls (which they resorted to against Stoke). Perhaps Harry needs to go back to the start and use Crouch off the bench...
The prolbem now is how do you drop a striker who's been involved in a 9-1 win (and scored)?! Obviously Defoe was the main man but I wonder what Keane was thinking as he sat on the bench watching that...
The bench on Sunday must have been a lonely place for strikers, Keane and Pav will no doubt be wondering when the next opportunity will come. its a golden rule not to break up a winnning team, although I am sure Villa will provide a much sterner test.
